Adell F (Dolan) Earley

May 11, 1947 — September 19, 2017

Adell F. (Dolan) Earley passed away with peace and grace on the morning of September 19, 2017 at 6:03 AM. Adell was surrounded by her loving family and friends who sat vigil for several days. She leaves us all rich with her warmth and memories.  She was born on May 11, 1947 in Bangor, Maine the daughter of Henry P. Dolan and Frances J. (Clark) Dolan.   She lived all over the world, but her happiest times were spent summering on Holbrook Pond at the family camp, and at her home in Peterborough, NH.

Adell worked many different jobs throughout her career, but she found her calling in caring for others. She operated a daycare for over ten years where her “kids” became loved members of her family. In her later years, she worked at Monadnock Community Hospital and excelled in her role in dietary services. It brought her so much joy to look after, not only her patients, but the younger employees, to whom she was a mentor and confidante.

The true essence of Adell was always caring for others and their needs. She had a selfless desire to bring friends and family members together in moments of celebration and joy, or simply to gather on a breezy Sunday evening to share the perfect all-day spaghetti sauce. Even in her final moments, Adell continued to work her magic.  She brought together her children, her siblings, her family and her absolute best friends in an outpouring of love, laughter, tears and to ultimately bid farewell to a mom, sister, friend, aunt, Godmother and grandmother.  She will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her.

Adell is survived by her son Scott Murphy of Springfield, MA;  her daughter Dawn Wilton Hall along with her children Collins and Tyrone of Manchester; her daughter Jessica Earley and husband Phil Sweredoski of San Diego, CA;  her brother Raymond Dolan of Portland, ME; her sister Catherine Maxsimic  and her husband Edward of Holden, ME; her niece Susan Cole and husband her husband Chuck along with their children Camden and Baxter, all of Bangor, ME; her nephew Eddie Maxsimic of Maine.  She will also be deeply missed by her dear friends Martha Sue, Butch, Cheryl and many other friends and family.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday September 22, 2017 from 1:00pm to 2:45pm at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough.  A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 3:00pm at All Saints Church, 51 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH.   A gathering will follow the service at Brady's Bar and Grill in Peterborough.  All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Adell’s name to a charity that she held very dear, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38102.
