Peterborough, NH Allen Waller Howard, 89 , of Peterborough, died at Rivermead Lifecare Community, on June 28, 2014 after a period of failing health. Waller was born on July 6, 1924 in Lynchburg, VA the son of Lawrence M. Howard and Mabel (Hubbard) Howard. Waller lived in Dublin for ten years before moving to Rivermead in Peterborough where he has lived the past nine years. He worked for General Electric for twenty-seven years as well as Hitchner Manufacturing in Milford as an employee and later a consultant for a total of fifteen years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing , gardening and spending time with his lovely wife Margaret. He was a man of integrity and independent faith. He valued family and education above all else. Waller is survived by his daughter, Holly Gahm of Strafford, NH and his four sons, Alan Howard of Durango, CO, Kent Howard of Union, KY, Mark Howard of Loveland, CO and Keith Howard of Providence, RI. He will also be missed by his ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as his friends in the RiverMead Community and his many friends in the Greater Peterborough Area. Waller is predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret (Blood) Howard and his two brothers, Dr. Max Howard and Kenneth Howard. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1:00PM at Rivermead in the Rivermead Auditorium, 150 Rivermead Road, Peterborough, Pastor Robert Ritchie will officiate. A reception to follow immediately in the Courtyard. Burial will be private for family. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions be made in Waller's name to The NH Alzheimer's Association, 5 Bedford Farms Dr #201, Bedford, NH 03110.
