Anita Miller

September 8, 1939 — June 11, 2018

Anita Miller, 78, of Rindge, passed away, after a brief illness, on June 11, 2018 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.    She was born in Peterborough, NH on September 8, 1939, the daughter of Joseph Sangermano and Minnie (Sweeney) Sangermano.

Anita is a lifelong resident of the area, having been raised and residing in Peterborough her entire life before moving to Rindge in 1986.  She had a successful 37 year career at NH Ball Bearing and spent her life immersing herself in the community.

Anita was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish Quilters Guild and put her crocheting skills to work, making many afghans for the church fairs.  She held a special place in her heart for charitable giving.   She was especially fond of the police and fire charities and was known to take tags off every children’s giving tree that she found during the holiday season, making sure each child had more than what was asked for.

She enjoyed many outdoor adventures, particularly camping and snowmobiling, and cherished the time spent with her family and grandchildren while sharing these activities with them.   Anita spent many years camping at York Beach and Wells, ME where she made lasting memories with those she loved.

Anita is survived by her three children, Albert “Bud” Miller and his wife, Mary, of Rindge,  Victoria Bartlett of Rindge, and Tony Miller of Jaffrey; her grandchildren, Rebeccah Creamer, Christopher and Phillip Bartlett, Lucas Miller and Jasmynn Miller, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Mason.    She will also be missed by her siblings, Violet Despres of Peterborough, Norma Whitney of Dublin, Antonio Sangermano of Jaffrey and Joseph Sangermano of Dublin; and her very dear friend and sister-in-law, Carol Sangermano.

In addition to her husband, Albert Miller, Jr., who died in 1987, she was predeceased by her siblings Phillip Sangermano, Mae Kereazis, Lucinda DeLill, Viola Toussaint, and William Sangermano.

Per Anita’s request, there will be no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 15, 2018 at 11:00am at Divine Mercy Parish, 12 Church Street, Peterborough, NH.   Burial will follow in the family plot at Pine Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers,  please consider a memorial contribution in Anita’s memory to your local police or fire department.
