Peterborough, NH
Beverly Bourgoine, 88, of Peterborough, died on March 29, 2014, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH while surrounded by the love of her family. Beverly was born in Lyman, NH on August 8, 1925 the daughter of Fred Santy and Blanche (Byron) Santy.
Beverly lived most of her life in NH. After marrying her husband Lawrence Bourgoine in 1947, she moved to MA for several years for his work requirements, but settled back in NH. She worked at Brookstone for a number of years, but her true calling was making a home. Beverly's passion for life was centered around her family. Family was everything to her including: children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She never stopped being a mother and extended that role to many. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Bev" and "Meme" to countless people who loved her.
In her earlier years, Bev enjoyed traveling to Canada and trips to Florida with her husband. After his death in 2007, Bev's trips became more local, but she still enjoyed going out on day trips and especially enjoyed going out to eat. She was always happy to hear what was happening in others lives and enjoyed keeping up with the town news.
Beverly is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Stahl (husband Glenn) of Peterborough, Betty Rigney (husband Michael) of Marlborough, MA, Brenda Eleftheriou (husband George) of Peterborough; her son Lawrence Bourgoine (wife Priscilla) of Peterborough; 8 grandchildren, Janice, Christopher, Richard, Sally, Nicholas, Natasha, Hilary, and Shelby; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister Florence "Flop" Stearns of NH and her twin sister Barbara Zeneski (husband Bruno) of CT, and many nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind her second family; those that came to know her through her dialysis treatments. The many doctors, nurses and volunteers whom she came to love over the last eight years were very special to her.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her brother Clyde Santy and her sister Pearl McBurney.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 1, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH.
