Cynthia Mae Turner, 89 of Peterborough, passed away peacefully at her home on November 6, 2023. She was born in Peterborough on August 16, 1934, the daughter of Herbert and Mae (Barrett) Sumner.
Cynthia married her husband, Raymond, in February 1956 and raised her family in Peterborough. She worked at Monadnock Community Hospital as a surgical technician for over 50 years. She and Raymond spent summer weekends for many decades camping at Bald Mountain Campground in Townsend, MA.
Cynthia loved her fur-babies and was particularly fond of the Pomeranians that she had throughout the years. She also enjoyed ceramics and was an expert knitter. She was known for knitting clothing for new babies born to family and friends near and far.
Cynthia is survived by her son Herbert Turner, and his partner Cheryl Woodward, of Peterborough, and her daughter Heidi Brooks of Rindge.
She is predeceased by her husband Raymond Turner and her son-in-law Steve Brooks.
Per her request there will be no formal services.
