Peterborough, NH D. Amelia (LaBossiere) Bates, 86, of Peterborough, died at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH on May 27, 2014, after a period of failing health. Dee was born in Lynn, MA on July 1, 1927, the daughter of Sherman Bates and Amelia (Allard) Bates. Dee was raised in Lynn, MA before she moved to Peterborough in 1966. She worked at ConVal High School serving lunches for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Divine Mercy Parish and was a member of the Lioness Club in Peterborough. Dee enjoyed dancing, traveling and antiquing. She loved visiting with relatives and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. Dee is survived by her children; Philip LaBossiere, and his wife Nancy, of Peterborough, Steven LaBossiere of Peterborough, and Paul LaBossiere, and his wife Chris, of Emmaus, PA. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren; Jason LaBossiere, Sarah LaBossiere, Ryan LaBossiere, Jeremy LaBossiere, Kevin Grysko and Wade LaBossiere, her great grand-daughter Lindsay LaBossiere, and her sister Carole Hardiman of Peabody, MA. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dee is predeceased by her husband Louis who died in 1987 and her daughter Holly Grysko, who died in 2009. Services are private for the family.
