Peterborough, NH David Lawrence Bishop, 73, of Peterborough, died at his home, on April 11, 2014 after a period of failing health. David was born in Peterborough on November 21, 1940, the son of Lawrence Bishop and Beverly (Blanchard) Bishop. David was a lifelong resident of Peterborough. He worked at Nonie's Food Shop for over 30 years. He was a member of Peterborough Fire and Rescue for thirty-five years and served as a deputy fire chief. He was an avid motorcyclist, enjoyed NASCAR, old movies and country music. His hobby was working as a mechanic on his motorcycle and automobiles. David is survived by his daughter Julie Allaet of Spokane, WA; his sister Sally Page of Concord; his long time partner Marcia Burke of Keene; his two step sons Tony and Mike Burke; his nephew John Woods and several grandchildren, several cousins and many dear friends . A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at a time to be announced, at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sand Hill Road, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions be made in David's name to Peterborough Fire and Rescue, 16 Summer Street, Peterborough, NH 03458.
