Dennis Stockwell

Peterborough, NH Dennis Stockwell, 65, of Bennington, died unexpectedly at Monadnock Community Hospital, on May 20, 2014. Dennis was born in Athol, MA on April 28, 1949, the son of Mahlon Stockwell and Evelyn (Dunham) Stockwell. Dennis lived in Peterborough for over thirty years before moving to Bennington where he resided the last several years. He enjoyed sailing and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his two children, Joshua and his wife Diana of Scituate, RI and Jessie and her husband Donald of Groton, MA. He will also be missed by his sister Audrey Stockwell of Colrain, MA , his nine grandchildren; Britany, Chelsea, Ashley, Lindsey, Donald, James, Sydney, Tobias and Caleb, his sister-in-law, Judy Stockwell of Peterborough, his nephew Richard, and many cousins. Dennis is predeceased by his brother Kenneth Stockwell who died in 2008. Visiting hours will take place on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH. A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions be made in Dennis' name to, The Monadnock Humane Society, 101 W. Swanzey Rd, Swanzey, NH 03446.
