Dr. Will Fenno

d. November 7, 2016

SHARON, NH Dr. Will Fenno, 68, died on November 7, 2016 at his home. Will was born in Milwaukee, Wis. on May 22, 1948 the son of Attorney Robert R. Fenno and Loraine (Hardtke) Fenno.

Will graduated from Shorewood High School, Shorewood, Wis. and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, before graduating as a physician from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

A Shakespearean actor and then a family physician in New York City, and at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, N.H. Will moved to Sharon because of the peace and solitude of the town. He was actively interested in conservation efforts and placed easements on much of the property he owns in Sharon. When he retired from the position of Selectmen's Assistant, he said that he was being promoted to the status of private citizen. He loved woodworking and he was a very talented and accomplished craftsman.

Although Will led a very quiet and private life, he had a significant impact on life in Sharon. He served as Selectman and later, Selectman's Assistant (now Town Administrator) during the time in which the Sharon Meeting House was being discussed, designed and built. He also served on the Conservation Commission and was a trustee of Bass Park.

Will is survived by his sister, Joan Fedkenheuer (James) of Baraboo, Wis. and his brother James R. Fenno of Chippewa Falls, Wis.
