Francestown, NH Edward H. Gienty, 85, of Francestown, died at his home with his loving wife by his side on January 18, 2016 after a period of failing health. Edward was born in Washington, D.C. on September 13, 1930 the son of Edward K. Gienty and Kathleen (Davis) Gienty. Edward moved all over the country with his family while growing up. He attended and graduated High School in Pittsford, VT and went on to obtain his Master's in Education from Antioch College in Keene. He lived in several places in the Monadnock Region including Dublin for 15 years and Peterborough for 17 years. He was a Vocational Education Teacher at ConVal High School for 19 years and owned an air conditioning and refrigeration store in Peterborough for several years. Additionally, he was an expert at making custom picture frames for over 20 years. After his retirement, he and his wife moved to Francestown where they enjoyed spending time together. Edward was very handy. He loved wood working and was an avid restorer of antique cars. He was a long time member of Altemont Lodge #26 F & AM in West Peterborough and a member of the Francestown Community Church. Edward is survived by his Loving wife Beverly Gienty of Francestown and his brother Donald Gienty of Colorado Springs, CO. He will also be missed by his nephews. Edward was predeceased by his brother Gordon "Joe" Gienty. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Edward's name to Alzheimer's Association at P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or to Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services at PO Box 496, Peterborough, NH 03458 At the request of the family, there will be no services.
