Edwin (Eddie) Bates Adams, 41, of Hancock passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2022 after a sudden illness. Eddie is survived by his loving parents Edwin E. and Nancy D. Adams of Hancock, NH.
Eddie was born on Superbowl Sunday, January 25th, 1981.
Eddie was a kind soul with a love of the outdoors and sports. He played baseball, soccer and hockey from a young boy in Hancock through his time at Conval Regional High School (Graduating class of 2000). He was most passionate about his time playing hockey and riding his skateboard where he made lifelong friendships with so many. In addition to sports Eddie was an avid fisherman and from the age of five years old you could find him almost every day, no matter the season, fishing for hours at his family’s beach on Norway Pond or wherever there was a body of water to be found.
Eddie recently worked as an Electrical Apprentice with his good friend Ray which he enjoyed very much. He worked for many people in the region doing yardwork, odd jobs, roofing and carpentry.
Besides his loving parents Eddie is survived by his sisters; Melinda Adams and her husband Jason Felton of Derry, NH and Jennifer Wallace and her husband David Wallace of Hancock, NH. Eddie’s greatest joy in life was being called “Uncle Eddie” by his nieces and nephews; Savanna Houle, Ryan Houle, Grace O’Brien, Emma O’Brien, Jackson Felton and Dylan Felton. Eddie is also survived by a large extended family of Uncles, Aunts and Cousins that will greatly miss him. Eddie was predeceased by his paternal grandparents; Everett and Hazel (French) Adams, and his maternal grandmother; Marilyn (Gammell) Dunlap.
A memorial service with be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00am at the Hancock Congregational Church, Main Street, Hancock, NH followed by a reception at the church’s vestry. There will be a private burial service held at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to make a contribution in Eddie’s memory to the renovations to be made to the Skateboard Park at Adams Playground in Peterborough, NH. Please send contributions made out to Melinda Adams, 25 Steven Ave, Derry, NH 03038.
