Peterborough, NH Ellen Hall Nott, 89, of Peterborough died at Summerhill Assisted Living on June 11, 2015 after a period of failing health. She was born in New Haven, CT on August 29, 1925 the daughter of Almon B. Hall and Gertrude Hall. Ellen grew up in Wallingford, CT. and graduated from Syracuse University. She married Charles Nott on June 19, 1949. She and her family lived in Buckingham Pa, Louisville KY, Churchland, VA., Simsbury, CT., and Acton, MA before moving to Walpole, NH in December of 1987. She spent many summers from 1968 thru 1992 at their cabin on lake Nubanusit, in Hancock NH. Ellen enjoyed playing the harp. She volunteered for many organizations including the American Red Cross and Meal on Wheels Programs in the Walpole area. She was also one of the founding members of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Nashoba Valley. Ellen is survived by three sons; Kenneth Nott of Baldwinsville, NY; Peter Nott of Hancock and Donald Nott of El Cajon, CA. She is predeceased by her loving husband Charles Nott.
