Evelyn V. Carlson

Peterborough, NH Evelyn V. Carlson, 93 , of Peterborough, died at Pheasant Wood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on July 18, 2014. She was born on February 12, 1921 in Springfield, MA, the daughter Alex Ostrand and Anna (Olson) Ostrand. Evelyn spent most of her adult life in Arlington, MA with her husband Harry, before moving to Peterborough in 1986. She and Harry were married for more than 62 years before his death in 2012. Evelyn was a New England fine artist, known for her watercolor paintings of the seacoast and landscapes. She was a member of the New England Watercolor Society. She had also been a member of the Painters Guild of the Lexington Arts & Crafts Society and won many awards for her watercolors. Evelyn is survived by eight nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday July, 22, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sand Hill Road, Peterborough, NH.
