Evelyn (Rust) Stanley

Evelyn (Rust) Stanley of Peterborough, NH, peacefully departed this life on July 21, 2024, at the age of 95, surrounded by her family. Evelyn's life was a testament to her faith in Christ Jesus and her family, leaving a void that can never be filled. Her steadfast support and tenacious spirit gleamed in all aspects of her life. She had a passion for gardening, bread baking, marathon running, and woodworking, and spent countless hours perfecting her needlework. Nana, you will live on in all of us.

Evelyn, born March 26, 1929, in Corwith, Iowa, was the third of six children born to Albert and Winnie Rust. She graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in accounting and shared 67 years of marriage with her beloved husband, John Stanley. They lived in Birmingham, AL, North Salem, NY, and, for the last 20 years, in Peterborough, NH.

Evelyn's legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her sister, Vete Rust of NY, and brother, Al Rust of Oregon, and her three children and their spouses: David (Lindy) Stanley, Tamara (Jim) Dallery, and Mark (Holly) Stanley. Seven grandchildren and their spouses: Sacha (Felippe) Miranda of Florida, Tiffany (Brendan) Noronha of Utah, William (Rachel) Dallery of Tennessee, Abigail Dallery of South Carolina, Maclean (Rachel) Dallery of Florida, Megan (Shamus) Donovan, and Scott Stanley of New Hampshire. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren: Arjen and Zelia Miranda.

Arrangements are with Jellison Funeral Home for a private burial at a later date.
