Gayle O'Connell

Greenfield, NH Gayle Ann (Smith) O'Connell, 58, of Greenfield died at her home on June 28, 2015 after a period of failing health. She was born in Woburn, MA on April 29, 1957, the daughter of George Smith, Jr. and Mary (Panzer) Smith. Gayle grew up in Woburn, MA, where she met her loving husband, Kevin O'Connell. They were married in 1981 and moved to New Boston in 1982 before building their home in Greenfield in 1987 where they have resided since. Gayle enjoyed camping with her family, boating, and reading. She loved watching the birds outside her dining room windows and feeding them for as long as possible each year. She was a devoted wife and mother. Gayle is survived by her husband of more than 34 years Kevin O'Connell of Greenfield and her two daughters, Colleen O'Connell and Sarah O'Connell both of Greenfield. She will also be missed by her sisters; Carolyn Muse, and her husband Arthur, of Pelham and Janet Doherty, and her husband Jake, of Saco, ME. There will be a memorial service held at the Greenfield Meeting House, Forest Road, Greenfield, on August 1, 2015 at 12:00 PM, with a reception to follow.
