Peterborough, NH Gerald Gelinas,76, of Peterborough died on April 25, 2017 at Monadnock Community Hospital after a period of failing health. Gerald was born in Lowell, MA on June 10, 1940, the son of Gerard Joseph Gelinas and Irene (Boisvert) Gelinas. Gerald grew up in West Graniteville, MA and lived in Groton, MA and Westford, MA before he enlisted in the United States Army. In 1974, Gerald moved to Milford, NH with his wife Linda (Gay) Gelinas until they relocated to Greenfield in 2002. Gerald worked as a cross county trucker for Pilgrim Foods and as a heavy equipment operator for Continental Paving. Gerald and his wife both loved Harley Davidsons and rode together anywhere that they could, participating in many charity and benefit rides. He also enjoyed boating and spending time on the water. In his later years, Gerald discovered his love and talent for oil painting and painted many beautiful landscapes. Gerald is survived by his daughter JoAnn Mazerolle of Leominster, MA and his step daughter Debra Ann Cleveland of South Dakota. He will also be missed by his four grandchildren and two great grandchildren and his sister Theresa Leighton of Lebanon, NH. Gerald is predeceased by his brother George Edward Gelinas who died in 1992. Services will be private.
