Gregg A Maki

October 6, 1964 — July 7, 2024

Gregg A. Maki died peacefully but unexpectedly in his sleep on July 7, 2024. He was born on October 6th, 1964 in Floresville, TX to Dorothy Dahood (Plummer) and Jack Maki. He was then raised in Goffstown by Dottie and her loving husband John Dahood.

Gregg graduated from Goffstown High School, class of 1983. He was most recently employed at Airmar in Milford as a QA Inspector, previously working at NHBB and Hitchiner for 27 years. He cared deeply for his coworkers and loved furthering his knowledge and training.

When he was younger, he enjoyed family vacations and many trips to the beach. They visited Disney in matching shirts that his mom made for the five of them. He loved being a big brother to his younger siblings Johanna and Ben. He also had fond memories of time spent with his stepbrothers John and Steve and always looked up to them.

Gregg was a very gentle man of great integrity. He had an emotional intelligence like no other, which would shine through in his poetry and special connections he shared with many close friends. Gregg finally put his poetry book, A Ghra', together in 2017 after years of encouragement from those he shared his poems with.

He enjoyed visiting the beach throughout his life, with Odiorne State Park holding his heart. He also rode a motorcycle until he couldn't anymore and enjoyed many years attending Laconia Bike Week. His motorcycle friends called him MacDaddy- probably because he was quite the ladies man. He loved kayaking, hiking, math, reading, boxing, poetry, the Patriots and the gym. His favorite poem was "One Acquainted with the Night" by Robert Frost.

Gregg was the best Daddo a girl could have ever asked for, and an even better Papa. Anywhere he was invited to do anything with his daughter and grandkids, he went. We used to have weekly ice cream dates and constant chats. He taught them all of the best things, and also to flip the bird when necessary. There are no words that can truly explain the size of the hole he has left in our hearts.

Gregg is survived by his daughter Crystle and her husband Chad who he loved dearly and shared a birthday with, his heart and first granddaughter Lily, his grandson Ryan who shares his middle name, his granddaughter Sage who he named, loving friend Fred, her daughter Jessica and her children, mother of his daughter and friend Karen, her daughters Nicky, Jen and Rachel; sister Johanna, brother John, many nieces and nephews, and a lot of dear friends.

He was predeceased by his Dad John Dahood, Mom Dorothy Dahood, biological father John Maki, brothers Ben and Steve Dahood, Fred's daughter Heather, and favorite dogs Evo and Larry.
