Jaffrey, NH Helen V. "Ginny" Belcher passed away on January 16, 2016 at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jaffrey. She was born in Brockton, MA on June 13, 1932, the daughter of George Bradbury and Elsie (Mabee) Bradbury. Ginny grew up in Brockton and South Easton, MA. She attended nursing school at Deaconess Hospital where she earned her license as a Registered Nurse. After marrying her husband, Kenneth Belcher, in 1953, she moved all over the world following his military career. Together, Kenneth and Ginny lived in many places, including Cuba, Japan and Korea, as well as many United States locations, including her favorite residence in Hawaii. No matter where they lived, Ginny would find a job in nursing and settle in to her new environment. Ginny was very crafty. She made Nantucket baskets and could sew beautifully. She often made clothing for the entire family, including the dresses for an entire bridal party. Ginny loved reading and music. She was a wonderful piano player and sang in the church choir at most of the churches that she joined during her travels. Ginny was a long time volunteer at the Monadnock Bible Conference in Jaffrey. In addition to her loving husband of more than 62 years, Ginny is survived by three children: Kenneth Belcher and his wife Paula of CO, Thomas Belcher and his wife Debra of Bennington, and Judy Belcher of Peterborough. She will also be missed by her 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and his sisters-in-law Barbara Sanderson and her husband Harold of NC, Carol Belcher of MA, and Barbara Belcher of FL. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 25th at 11:00 AM at The New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00PM at the Trinity Evangelical Church, 700 Dublin Road, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ginny's memory to Trinity Evangelical Church, 700 Dublin Road, Peterborough, NH 03458; or the Monadnock Bible Conference, 257 Dublin Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452; or to a charity of one's choice.
