Peterborough, NH Jane Momeyer, 59, of Peterborough died at her home on August 17, 2015. Jane was born in Plainfield, NJ on April 21, 1956 the daughter of Philip D. O'Connell, Jr. and Eunice (Cormack) O'Connell. Jane grew up and attended school in Cranford, New Jersey and spent her summers in Westerly, RI at Shelter Harbor. While attending college, Jane met and married the love of her life, Thomas Momeyer. They lived in the Keene area for a number of years before moving to Peterborough in 1988, where they have resided since. Jane was a Special Education teacher at Fuller School in Keene and later at South Meadow School in Peterborough until her retirement in June 2014. She developed a program for children with autism while at Fuller that would grow into a program that helped many children over the years. She loved crafts of all kinds and was very skilled at quilting, needlepoint, sewing, stamping and scrapbooking. She made personal cards and scrapbooks for many friends and family members. Jane enjoyed gardening and going on tours of historical places and homes throughout New England. She felt most at home and at peace on the beach. In addition to Shelter Harbor, where she continued her tradition of spending summers with her husband and children, she spent many vacations on the shores of Cape Cod and Nantucket. In addition to her father, Jane is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Momeyer of Peterborough, her son Colin Momeyer of Keene; and her daughter Emily Momeyer of Calabasas, CA. She will also be missed by her brother Paul O'Connell, and his wife Marianne, of Glastonbury, CT, and their children Ryan and Jessica; her sister Ann Henne, and her husband Scott, of Glastonbury, CT and her sister Mary O'Connell-Vachon, and her husband Dave, of Merrimack. Jane is predeceased by her mother, Eunice (Cormack) O'Connell, and her brother Philip D. O'Connell III. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:30 AM at St. Peter's Cemetery, High Street, Peterborough.
