Jeanne Egan

Antrim, NH Jeanne Egan, 88 , of Antrim, died unexpectedly at her home, on July 31, 2014. Jeanne was born in New Bedford, MA on March 2, 1927 the daughter of Edwin B. Allard and Artemise (Musserall) Allard. Jeanne grew up in Fairhaven, MA and moved to Harwich, MA before moving to Antrim where she has lived for the last year. She attended nursing school and worked as a private nurse on the Cape for many years. She was an active parishioner of The Holy Trinity Church in Harwich. She was a Eucharistic Minister,and worked in the thrift shop and volunteered on various church committees. Jeanne enjoyed playing bingo and loved knitting. She was a member of a knitting club in Harwich. Jeanne is survived by her son David and his wife Stacy Egan of Hillsborough and her beloved grandson, Calvin Egan, also of Hillsborough. She will also be missed by her brother Edwin W. Allard of Mattapoisett, MA. Jeanne is predeceased by her loving husband, James P. Egan, who died in 2011. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Jeanne's name to Family Pantry, Social Services Organization, 133 Queen Anne Road, Harwich, MA 02645.
