Peterborough, NH Joan Helen Hawkins, 69, of Peterborough, died at her home, on April 30, 2014 after a period of failing health. Joan was born in Fitchburg, MA on August 12, 1944, the daughter of Sulo Holland and Rauha (Partala) Holland. Joan spent her childhood in Fitchburg, MA. She moved to Antrim, New Ipswich and then Peterborough, where she lived for the last fifteen years. She was a devoted Protestant. She loved putting together picture puzzles, reading, crocheting and going on shopping trips with her sister. Joan is survived by her sister Sally V. Wood of Fitchburg, MA. Services are private for the family.
