Westford, MA John M. Duchesne Sr., 59, of Westford, MA died on December 11, 2016 after a period of failing health. John was born in Salem, MA on June 30, 1957 the son of Ralph Duchesne Sr. and Jane (Bencal) Duchesne. John grew up and attended schools in Salem, MA. At the age of 18 he joined the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Upon his return from the Navy, John moved to California where he lived for many years. He moved to New Hampshire to raise his family and worked for Allied Fabrication as a metal fabricator for many years. He has lived in Massachusetts for the past 8 years. John enjoyed fishing, surf casting, Stamp collecting and working on model cars. John had a wonderful sense of humor and thrived on making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends but loved his grandchildren most of all. John is survived by his son John M. Duchesne Jr. of Pembroke and his daughter Whytney (Duchesne) and her husband John Santos of Pembroke. He will also be missed by his grandchildren; Ryanna (Nugget),Elijah, Isaac, Kaylee, Mathew, Jayden and Mariyah, his sisters, Denise Barber and Linda Colella both of FL, his brothers, Ralph Duchesne Jr. of ME and David Duchesne of MA and his significant other Tammie Allen. Services are private for the family. Burial will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made in John's name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(ASPCA) at www.aspca.org
