John S. Westaway

Milford, NH John S. Westaway, 88, of Milford died at Catholic Medical Center on March 4, 2016 after a brief illness. John was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada on June 10, 1927 the son of Richard Westaway and Blanche (Collings) Westaway. John grew up and attended schools in P.E.I.. He moved to Massachusetts and lived in Attleboro, Everett and Saugus. He moved to Peterborough in 1997, before moving to Milford in 2013 with his late wife, Marie (Pellerin) Westaway. John served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed reading and traveling, but his true love was spending time with all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. John is survived by his sons; Robert Westaway of North Carolina, Donald Westaway of North Carolina and Paul Westaway of Merrimack. He will also be missed by his brother's; Lloyd Westaway of P.E.I. and Colin Westaway of P. E. I. and his many grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Along with his loving wife Marie Westaway, John is predeceased by his brothers; Richard, William, James, and Joseph Westaway and his sister Marjorie Mac Donald. A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH 03458. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Beth Boisvert presiding. Burial will be in the family lot at Pine Hill Cemetery, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial Contributions be made in John's memory to the Make a Wish Foundation at www.wish.org
