Hancock, NH Julianna Erb, 45, of Hancock, passed away suddenly at her home on October 17, 2016. Julie was born and raised in Maine but made her home in Southern New Hampshire for most of her adult life and worked at Osram Sylvania for 22 years. The epitome of a strong New England woman who did not suffer fools gladly, Julie was a fierce friend and had great generosity in regard to those she held dear. Julie felt compelled to help others. Having trained as a veterinary technician at the University of Orono, Maine, her volunteer work included Search Dogs Northeast and the AVMA's Veterinary Medical Assistance Teams (VMAT) with whom she responded to New York City after September 11 to provide medical treatment to the 300 search-and-rescue dogs that served at the disaster site. Her passions included gardening, knitting and genealogy research and was eager to lend a hand. Julie enjoyed watching her beloved Patriots, Bruins and NASCAR and was known to attend gatherings with her radio and earphones. She was also a consummate nerd who spoke Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, and Discworld, among many others, fluently. Julie is predeceased by her husband, Timothy Carson; survived by her sister, Alia Smith, her uncle, Adrian Fulks, and his family of Riverton, IL, and nephew, Ian Chevalier, of Augusta, ME; and sorely missed by her family of friends. A Memorial Wake is being planned. "FOR I CAN SEE THE BALANCE AND YOU HAVE LEFT THE WORLD MUCH BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT, AND IF YOU ASK ME, said Death, NOBODY COULD DO ANY BETTER THAN THAT...
