Temple, NH Kenneth L. Salzberg, 52, of Temple NH died suddenly on June 11, 2017. Kenneth was born in The Bronx, NY on September 30, 1964, the son of Louis Salzberg and Mildred (Zimmerman) Salzberg. Kenneth grew up and attended schools in Queens, NY. He graduated from CW Post University with a dual Masters degree in Criminal Justice and Library Science with a Certificate in Archives. Kenny served with the United States Marine Corps Reserves, and also began his career with the NYPD. For the next 20 years in law enforcement his duties included time with the Manhattan North Task Force and was promoted to Detective in Auto Crime until his retirement. During his 20-year career with the NYPD, Kenny spent a year working for the UN in Bosnia as a Peacekeeping Officer. Kenny was also known as "Salty" by his close friends. In 2006 he and his family moved to Temple NH where Kenny enjoyed the natural beauty of the area and captured much of it in his photography. Kenny loved movies and books, having a particular appreciation of classic authors and literature. Above all, Kenny was a family man and cherished his time spent with his family. He lived his adage "family first". Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Panzer) Salzberg and their son Louis "Sweet Lou" Salzberg living in Temple NH. His brother Jeff Salzberg of Bayside, NY; and his sisters, Randi Salzberg of Kew Gardens, NY and Cindy Salzberg of Bayside, NY, also survive Kenny. His mother-in-law Carol Fraites of Queens, NY, sisters-in-law, Jodi Vitti and her husband Armando and Staci Favara and her husband Jason will also forever miss him. He was a beloved uncle to Timothy, Juliana, Joseph and Jeremy. Services will be announced at a later date.
