Kennethe Mary Johnston Cook, 83, of Antrim, peacefully passed on to her new life on March 9. 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 22, 1931 at the Lucy Helen Hospital in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Kenneth Raymond Johnston and Jeanie Esther (Tait) Johnston of Hancock. Kennethe spent her childhood in Hancock, NH and in Leominster, Mass. Kennethe was a doting mother and grandmother, an accomplished seamstress and knitter, and enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and collecting. Kennethe retired from the Antrim school lunch program after more than twenty years. Kennethe was the wife of Charles W. "Mush" Cook of Antrim who died in 1991. She leaves her children, Roseanne Mary (and her husband Irv) Norwood of Jacksonville, Florida, Charlie Merrick Cook (and his wife Sharon) of Jaffrey, NH, Kathryn Jeanie Cook of Milford, NH, Sherri Jane Cook of Antrim, NH, Glenn Charles Cook and his wife Janice of Bennington, and Lucy Elizabeth (and her husband Robert) Pivonka of Hillsboro, NH. Kennethe was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren (Kimberly Pratt, Phillip Cook, Amanda Cook, Allison Cook, Craig Cook, Haley Cook, August Cook-Gregoire, Morgan Cook and Mallory Fraser), six great-grandchildren (Jade Sirois Hill, Jasmine Sirois, Cheyenne Sirois, Delia Patten, John Matthews and Landyn Young) and five great-great grandchildren. Kennethe was the sister of Jeanie Donovan and Virginia Blanchette (both of whom predeceased her) and of Judith Starkweather of Hillsboro, NH. She is also survived by a cousin James Thacher of Salt Lake City, UT and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Jellison Funeral Home. Calling hours are Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kennethe's honor to her favorite charity, the Antrim Food Bank, P.O. Box 206, Antrim, NH 03440.
