Peterborough, NH Leo Albert Perullo, 75, of Peterborough, died on August 2, 2014 at his home and surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Boston, MA on April 6, 1939, the son of Louis Perullo and Dorothy (Smith) Perullo. Leo grew up and attended schools in Hyde Park, MA. After enlisting and serving several years in the United States Army, Leo returned to Boston, where he met his future wife Jean (Simonetta) Perullo. They moved to Peterborough in 1966 and celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. Leo was a skilled printer, having worked at Sim's Press for a number of years before retiring from New England Business Services after more than 20 years. He was the proud owner of several race horses including "Jason Pace" and enjoyed watching them race. Leo enjoyed fishing, woodworking, golf and time spent at the shooting range with his son. He enjoyed spending time with his family and with a close group of his life long friends. When Leo loved something or someone, he did it with a passion that was extraordinary. His love and pride for his children and grandchildren was immense and his love for his dogs, Toffee, Simmy, and Bella was special. In addition to his wife Jean (Simonetta) Perullo Leo is survived by his children Daniel Perullo and his wife Georgie of Swarthmore, PA, Deborah Cook and her husband Ed of Crownsville, MD, Beth Perullo of Peterborough, and Joseph Perullo and his wife Kittie of Peterborough. He also leaves six grandsons Christopher, Nicholas, Joseph, and Gregory Perullo and Gianni and Nico Cook, his brothers Louis Perullo of Peabody, MA and John Perullo of Abington MA, and his sister Ann Cronin of Falmouth, MA. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Leo was predeceased by his siblings Dorothy Smith, Francis Perullo, and Linda Perullo. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday August 5th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 6th at 1:00 PM at Divine Mercy Parish, 18 Vine Street, Peterborough. Burial will immediately follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Monsignor Lamothe will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Leo's memory to Salvation Army, C/O James Grant, Grove Street Ext, Peterborough, NH 03458.
