Leonard “Lenny” J. Gonthier Jr., 75, of Antrim died unexpectedly at his home on November 11, 2017. Lenny was born in Fitchburg, MA on April 22, 1942 the son of Leonard J. Gonthier Sr. and Evelyn (Dupont) Gonthier.
Lenny grew up and attended school in Leominster, MA and he graduated from Saxon Trade School. He worked for many years as a Department Head at Brockway Plastics in Nashua.
Lenny and his beloved wife, Ann (Howe) Gonthier, lived for many years in Northern New Hampshire, enjoying their time in Gilford and Thornton before relocating to Antrim. Lenny was a lover of the outdoors, having a special love for hunting and fishing. He enjoyed listening to country music and watching his favorite western TV show, Gunsmoke. Lenny enjoyed animals, and was particularly fond of his cockatiel, Lilly, with whom he would sit and listen to the other birds.
In addition to his wife, Lenny is survived by his children; Leonard J. Gonthier III of Jaffrey, Lorie Mullins of Wilton, Paul Gonthier of California, Susan Gonthier and her fiance' Jerry Laurent of Loudon, and his step-children; Mindy Forest and her husband Daniel of Goffstown, Scott Lachance and his wife Lisa of Merrimack and Michelle Bailey and her husband John of Antrim. His will also be deeply missed by his brother Ronald Gonthier and his wife Ida of Leominster, his 8 grandchildren, his 5 great- grandchildren, his 6 step- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lenny is predeceased by his sister Sylvia Perez.
Services will be private for the family.
I lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Lenny’s name to the Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
