Lindsay Marie Varga, 35, of Hillsborough, NH, formally of New Jersey, died Saturday January 21, 2023, after a long illness.
Lindsay, or “Lin-Z”, as she was often called, was born on May 29, 1987, in Toms River, NJ, the daughter of David and Clare (Kohles) Varga. She graduated St Mary’s School in Hackettstown, N.J. and Hackettstown High School. She also attended Morris County Community College in N.J. as well as Manhattan Community College in NYC.
Lindsay had many jobs in customer service throughout her life with her most recent employment being Dunkin Donuts of Antrim and Hillsborough, NH. She was also very handy and was an assistant to her deceased partner who owned a construction business, Ainsworth and Sons. Be it painting, wallpapering, flooring or landscaping, you name it she did it.
Lindsay enjoyed fresh and saltwater fishing and motor sports. She had a great love for all animals. In addition, she loved vacationing at the beach in Historic Cape May, NJ, where her family often visited.
Lindsay is survived by her parents, Dave and Clare Varga, her son Evan Ainsworth and her brother Jake Varga, all of Hancock, NH, her partner Ryan Martin of Hillsborough, NH, her grandparents, Elias and Alice Varga, of Tyler Hill, PA, her Uncle Barry Varga of Branchville, NJ, her Aunt Mary and Uncle Pete Galindo of Mooresville, NC, her Aunt Cathy and Uncle Chris Crane, also of Mooresville, NC, her Uncle Kenny and Aunt Ildie Kohles of Valencia, Spain, her Aunt Terri Mancuso of Safety Harbor, FL, her Aunt Bernie Kilian of Rumson, NJ, her Uncle Joe and Aunt Marie Kohles of New Hope, PA, as well as many cousins.
Lindsay was predeceased by her brother, Ryan, in 2003 and her partner of 11 years, Jonathan Ainsworth, in 2016, as well as her grandparents, Agnes and Kenneth Kohles.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 5:00-7:00PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough NH. A Mass a Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11:00AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 12 Church Street, Peterborough NH.
A second visitation will be held at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, on Tuesday January 31, 2023, from 5:00-7:00PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Union Cemetery, Mountain Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lindsay’s name to the ASPCA.
