Lorraine Strang

Peterborough, NH Lorraine J. Strang, 85, of Peterborough, died at Pheasant Wood Center on June 19, 2016 after a period of declining health. Lorraine was born in Boston, MA on August 10, 1930, the daughter of Clarence Johnson and Clara (Swanson) Johnson. After high school at the Brimmer and May School in Boston, she attended Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh, PA, earning a BS in Biology. She was a lifelong outdoor enthusiast, and was active in organizations ranging from the American Association of University Women to the Girl Scouts of America. Lorraine is survived by her daughter Ann Kesti of Ocala, FL and her son Dale Strang and his wife Sandra Lobacki-Strang of Kentfield, CA. She will also be missed by her four grandchildren: Whitney (Strang) Williams, Caitlin Strang, Christopher Mullen and Matthew Mullen. She is predeceased by her husband Vance C. Strang and her brother, Stanley C. Johnson. Burial will be private for the family.
