Peterborough, NH Marie A. (Cusano) Adler, 83 years old, of Peterborough, died peacefully at Pheasant Wood Center on April 22,2015. Marie was born on December 19, 1931 in Bronx, NY, the daughter of Anthony and Anne Cusano. She graduated from Bronx Vocational High School with honors in 1949. For many years she enjoyed raising her family and working as a certified insurance broker. In 1991, she and her second husband, Richard M. Adler moved to Peterborough. Marie gave generously of her time to organizations such as the Peterborough Woman's Club, The Mariposa Museum and Divine Mercy Parish Women's Guild. In 2012 she was awarded Volunteer of the Year at Pheasant Wood Care & Rehabilitation Center. It was easy to find Marie in her kitchen cooking or baking for family, friends or one of her various organizations. She cherished her role as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, loving and caring for her family with grace, kindness and dignity. Marie was a member of Divine Mercy Parish in Peterborough. Marie is survived by her four children, Genevieve Fusco; Anne and her husband, Larry Brewerton; Elaine and her husband, Fred Boccia; Emil and his wife, Marie Fusco; two stepdaughters, Robin and her husband Mark Witte; Joy and her husband Andy Kerekes; eight grandchildren, Phillip Boccia and his wife Sara, Fred, Michael, Donna, Christopher, Amanda, Emilio and Debbie; Three great grandchildren, Jillian, Isabel and Lucas; her sister Dorothy Miller and her brother John and his wife Rosemary Cusano. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Richard M. Adler in 2012. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 6:00PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 18 Vine Street, Peterborough, NH. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sand Hill Road, Peterborough, NH. Monsignor Gerald Belanger will be the Celebrant.
