Marthasue Gilbert

Peterborough, NH MarthaSue Gilbert, 92, of Peterborough died on July 18, 2016 at Crestwood Center, after a period of failing health. MarthaSue was born in Ohio on April 22, 1924, the daughter of William Bauer and Fern (Bell) Bauer. MarthaSue graduated from the University of Ohio in Toledo. After graduating she worked for the Ford Modeling Agency as a fashion model. She married her loving husband Ronald Gilbert while working as a model. After her modeling career she opened an antiques business in Millbrook, New York. MarthaSue was a painter and needlepoint artist. She was also a veracious reader and an animal lover, taking a special interest in dogs. Her cousin Jackie Bell of Toledo, Ohio as well as her God Daughter, Virginia Dickinson of Antrim, NH, foster son, Soren Thomassen and his wife Shari as well as daughters Katie and Julie and husband Daniel Morsberger of Bear, DE, survive MarthaSue. Her husband predeceased MarthaSue.
