Michael A. "Greenie" Greene

June 27, 1958 — January 5, 2025

January 5, 2025 was last call for “Greenie”. He jumped on his Harley and left this life in the dust. He finally reached the “Miller High Life”.

Michael A. Greene was born 66 years ago in Peterborough to Charles and Floreda (Cate) Greene. He grew up in Greenfield and sort of went to school at ConVal High School but wasn’t a fan. He preferred the “School of Greenie” where he learned, and taught others, what living life to the fullest really meant.

Greenie was truly one of a kind, a legend really. He even had his own handshake (if you know, you know). He wasn’t afraid to meet people and talk to people of all walks of life. He would crash a party, dance a little, and leave having made a few more friends.

If you were a friend of Greenie, you knew that in addition to his zest for life, he had a heart of gold and loved to make people happy.

In addition to his cat, “Motorcycle”, Greenie is survived by his brother David Greene, sister Nora Greene, brother Frank Greene and his wife Linda; his nieces Tracy Crowell, Michelle Flagg, Melissa Greene and Sarah Pasieka; as well as several great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by countless friends, including a group of a dozen or so very close friends (you know who you are).

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Chuck Greene, and his niece Jessica Briggs.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Charles cemetery. In the meantime, celebrate Greenie as he would if he were here to celebrate with you.
