Michael A. Gasper, 52, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully at his home on May 31, 2022. He was born in Laconia, NH on September 10, 1969, the son of Geneva (Russo) Gasper.
Michael (Mike) was born and raised in the Lakes Region of NH. He attended schools in Laconia. He was retired from a long career in truck driving and moved to Greenfield, NH in 2014 where he lived with his longtime girlfriend and youngest daughter.
Mike was a true friend to everyone he met. Always willing to help. He took great pride in being there for others. Mike would go out of his way to help people in need. He stopped to help motorists on the road, bikers, plowed driveways for people in need, and generally looked for opportunity to be a good person.
A passionate motorcycle rider, he felt free and happy when going for a ride and was most recently introducing is youngest daughter to riding and loved to take her for rides around town. Over the past few years he was able to volunteer and help organize rides to benefit charities. He was a natural at organizing and helped put together some amazing rides. He felt so much pride in that work, knowing he helped to make a difference.
He was an amazing cook and took great pride in creating amazing meals for family and friends. Whether he was making traditional Italian meals or using his beloved smoker and grill for BBQ he was always happy making other happy (and full).
Mike loved his Greenfield community. He was always talking to people around town getting know them and was active member of the local Park Committee where, amongst other things, he loved to work in the kitchen for events.
Mike loved to go deep sea fishing. Every year he made multiple trips out where he was just as happy helping out and just being with his "boat buddies" as he was when he caught fish. He loved the water and being out on the ocean.
Mike is survived by his children Justin Gasper, Anthony Gasper, Geneva Guthrie (Gasper), Bethany Gasper and Gwendolyn Gasper, his grandchildren Gavin Gasper, Mayson Stewart, Addilynn Gasper, his newest granddaughter expected to come into the world in October and Mike's longtime partner Christine Woods.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Although not a veteran himself, Mike was passionate about causes that support our veterans in NH. He was active in many rides to help raise money supporting our nations hero's.
