Nancy Gallagher

Peterborough, NH Nancy Ann Gallagher, 81, of Peterborough, died after a sudden illness at Monadnock Community Hospital on March 24, 2016. Nancy was born in Danvers, MA on November 26, 1934 the daughter of L. Howard Tipert and Helena (Lach) Tipert. Nancy was raised in Danvers, MA. She moved to Middleton, MA as a young bride and raised her family of four children there. Nancy had a long and fulfilling career in nursing. She took good care of those in her charge and truly cared about each of her patients. She loved candlepin bowling and spent years on a bowling league winning many trophies. She loved to sew clothes for herself and her children and in her later years it was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that gave her the most joy. Nancy is survived by her children Mark Spears and his wife Janice of Sarasota, FL, Robin Wear and her husband Charles of Amesbury, MA, Kathleen Clark and her husband Martin of Townsend, MA and Kelli Jeffreys of Peterborough, NH. She will also be missed by her 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James Gallagher. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Nancy's name to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday March 30th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 2:00 PM, at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH.
