Natalie S. (Shedd) Sanderson

Concord, NH

Natalie Shedd Sanderson, 89, of Concord died peacefully on October 3, 2017 after a period of failing health. Natalie was born in Waltham, MA on April 11, 1928 the daughter of Prescott Gunner Shedd and Elizabeth (Thomas) Shedd.

Natalie grew up in Waltham Ma, where she met her husband Nathan H. Sanderson III (Sandy). Natalie and Nathan were married in Waltham at the Episcopal church on December 26, 1950.  In 1966 Natalie’s passion for horses lead the family to their new home where they founded Kingsbuy Hill Riding School in Francestown, NH. The riding camp ran for 40 years helping young women  grow through their love of horses.  When Natalie was not on the farm she was working as a speech therapist at various schools in Milford, NH.  In addition to horses and farming Natalie and Sandy loved to sail together.  They enjoyed summers sailing  along the New England coast line. During the winter they enjoyed skiing on Crotched Mtn.

Natalie is survived by her three children; Nathan “Scott” Sanderson and his wife Catherine Sanderson of Francestown, NH, Lisa Campbell of Aiken, SC, and Stacia Holden of Arroyo Deco,  NM. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren; Nathan H. Sanderson V, Jamison P. Sanderson, Melissa Vaughn, Lauren Campbell and Natalie Holden.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Sunday October 8 at 2pm at All Saints’ Church, 51 Concord Street, Peterborough. Reverend Jamie Hamilton will officiate. Burial will follow at Francestown Cemetery #3, 2nd NH Turnpike South, Francestown.
