Greenfield, NH Patricia A. "Patty" Donovan, 52, of Greenfield, died unexpectedly on July 26, 2016 of complications from cardiac disease. She was at a work location in Nelson at the time. Born on August 29, 1963 in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Paul V. Donovan and the late Jeanie A. (Johnston) Donovan. Patty grew up in Hancock and attended ConVal High School, later furthering her education at Ball State University in Indiana. She had lived in Greenfield for more than 25 years, where she raised her family. Patty was a devoted member of the Greenfield Covenant Church for more than six years and valued her time spent at services and with members of the congregation. Patty was self-employed as a housekeeper and caregiver for many people in the area. An avid gardener, Patty worked for more than 25 years with her loving partner Maurice "Moe" Belmore Sr., at the Belmore Farm stand in Greenfield. "She planted most of what's out there right now," Mr. Belmore said. "She liked to keep a nice house and she had a good imagination in the kitchen." He said Patty enjoyed country and western music, history and reading. She was known to be outspoken in her opinions. "She always managed to call a spade a spade, and then some," Mr. Belmore said. Patty cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her two beautiful grandchildren Keegan and Alexis-Nicole, taking them out every weekend to various area events. "She was an amazing Grammy," said her daughter Michelle Eddy. She was very much looking forward to a new grandson due at the end of August. "She was so excited at having one more grandson on the way," her daughter said. In addition to her daughter Michelle E. Eddy and her fiancAC. Warren Mooney of Stoddard, she is survived by three sisters, Danette Alexander of Somers, CT, Andrea Donovan of Keene and Jaime Donovan of Swanzey; two brothers, Matthew P. Donovan of Fairfax Station, VA and Christopher Donovan of Summit, NJ ; two grandchildren, Alexis- Nicole Mooney and Keegan Mooney, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Patty was predeceased by her daughter, Nicole "Nikiyie" Donovan, who died in 2004. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked for Greenfield Covenant Church, 12 Depot Road, Greenfield, NH 03047. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, August 6, 2016 at the Hillside Cemetery, Route 137N, Hancock, followed at 11:00 AM by a Memorial Service at the Greenfield Meetinghouse, Forest Road, Greenfield, the Rev. Daniel Osgood of Greenfield Covenant Church will officiate.
