Peterborough, NH Paul V. Bacon Jr., 90, died at Pheasant Wood Center in Peterborough on January 23, 2016 after a period of failing health. Paul was born August 15, 1925 in Whales, England the son of Paul V. Bacon Sr. and Elizabeth (Keech) Bacon. Paul moved to Peterborough in 1962 before moving to North Carolina where he lived for most of the 1980's. He moved back to the Monadnock region, living in Jaffrey in 2000 before returning to Peterborough where he lived for the last three years. Paul served in the United States Navy during World War II. After the war he returned home and worked at O'Neil Jewelers and Strout Realty. He later worked for the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles until his retirement. Paul is survived by his sons; Paul V. Bacon III of Bow, Chris Bacon of Antrim, Greg Bacon of Palm Springs, CA, Mike Bacon of Hancock and his daughter Beth LeClair of Seattle, WA. He will also be missed by his two grandchildren and his sister Nancy Johnson of Bradford. Paul was predeceased by his loving wife Joan (Oneil) Bacon and his brother George Bacon. Services will be held in the spring.
