Paul Eric Dalpé of Peterborough, NH, formerly of Groton and Shirley, MA died peacefully on Aug. 11 from complications of esophageal cancer in the company of his beloved friend Tammy Pepin D’Agostino. Paul was born on February 24, 1960 to Mrs. Rita Dalpe and Robert Dalpe, Jr. and grew up in Natick and Sudbury, MA with brothers Robert Dalpe III and Charles E. Dalpe (deceased). Paul attended the New England School of Photography where he completed his studies in the mid 1980s.
Paul was a devoted father to his loving 9 year-old daughter, Sequoia Rayne Dalpé and is survived by his brother Robert Dalpe III from Arizona as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Paul was an extraordinary, sensitive person who cared deeply about others. He was an accomplished photographer and videographer, and an artist of the purest form who could talk passionately about anything ranging from a Matisse painting to a good cup of coffee. Paul’s romantic sensibility for art, nature, food, and life experience was contagious, as was his wonderful dry sense of humor and captivating life stories.
Paul’s humility and ability to express himself and his own emotions was truly special, he had a keen ability to listen and empathize. Paul adored his 9 year old daughter Sequoia, who was named after the majestic giant Sequoia trees in California and had a trip planned for the both of them to explore the Sequoia National Park together.
Paul was a dreamer, an artist and a connoisseur of the experiences of life and the world could not contain him. We will miss Paul and will never forget the mark he made on our lives, and will remember his many wonderful eccentricities with a smile.
