On October 24th, Robert Leo Constant passed through the gates of Heaven to join his wife Rose in eternal rest, as promised by God.
Robert was born on October 14, 1932, in Hudson, NH. He was the oldest child of Leo and Jeanette Constant. Robert had three sisters, Regina, Rita, and Doris. Robert was married to his lifelong love, Rose M. (Porter) for 66 years. Robert leaves his children, Pamela (Ford) Bishop, Darlene (Chris) Jacobson, Dale (Penny Savage) Constant, and Peter Constant. Bob leaves eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean conflict from 1950, until his Honorable Discharge in 1961. Bob was employed for many years as an Electric Engineer with Sanders Corporation, and Austin Gordon Design in Nashua, NH.
Bob understood the value of pride and ownership. Maintaining and respecting what you owned, finally and regrettably selling his 22-year-old Camry…looking like it just emerged from the showroom. Robert taught his children and grandchildren the value of respecting and valuing, with pride, what was yours and others.
He enjoyed the Country Music of the 1960s and had quite a collection of that genre. After Retirement, Bob and Rose were inseparable, spending quality time with themselves and their family and enjoying travel with their cherished friends William and Ella Gosselin. Robert’s other passions included making home movies and transferring them from tape to digital recording.
Robert and Rose spent their final years as residents of the Scott-Farrar Home in Peterborough, NH. The family of Bob and Rose wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to that Home for the loving, compassionate, and tender care our parents received in that retirement community.
Graveside Services for Robert and Rose will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Sand Hill Rd., Peterborough, NH at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to attend this celebration of their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of a donation to the Jenny Scott Legacy Foundation at Scott-Farrar Home, 11 Elm Street, Peterborough, NH, or the charity of your choice.
