Sharon Kathleen Maloney, “Kathy”, age 62, of Greenfield, died after a sudden illness at her
home on March 14, 2018. Kathy was born in Freeport, Texas on February 3,1956 the daughter
of Eugene Baker and Marjorie (Phillips) Baker.
Kathy was born, raised and lived in Texas until coming to Greenfield, New Hampshire with her
family in 1996. She loved the seasons, trees and loved to make doll dresses. She was
particularly proud of her enterprise, “Kat Creations”. Her doll dresses were sought by many.
The price for one of Kathy’s doll dresses always demonstrated that her true profit was God’s
love. In addition to loving her family and numerous grandchildren, she loved her chipmunks,
birds, flowers, squirrels and enjoyed the thrill of deer, that moose and the occasional bear. She
was not too keen on howling wolves. Kathy blended her traditional values with all of God’s love
and served up a good stew to all. She accepted all souls and was “mom” to many. She was
very fond of lighthouses and was, herself, a bright beacon.
Kathy is survived by her husband Michael J. Maloney of Greenfield, NH, her four daughters
Stephanie R. Suits of Point, TX, Brandee M. Purrington of Hillsborough, NH, Angela M. Stuart of
Austin, TX, Rachel A. Christenson of Peterborough, NH, and her sister Carolyn R. Evans of
Waco, TX.
