Sharon Teates

Hancock, NH Sharon Teates, 72, of Hancock died at her home on October 25, 2016 after a period of failing health. Sharon was born in Peterborough on August 18, 1944 the daughter of Howard Pierce and Hilda (Brown) Pierce. Sharon lived in the Monadnock area most of her life and raised her family in Peterborough. She was married to Kenneth Teates for more than 30 years, before his death in 2009. She enjoyed summers spent at Lake Nubanusit, and particularly swimming in the lake. She appreciated the arts and was quite talented in painting and stained glass art. Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Chalke of Hancock and Jessica Teates of Amherst; her two granddaughters, Cheyenne Chalke of Hancock and Isabella Rivera of Amherst, and her very close cousin Gale Hennessey, and his wife Linda, of Bedford. A graveside service will be held on Friday October 28, 2016 at 11:00AM at Pine Hill Cemetery (Middle), Sand Hill Road, Peterborough, NH.
