Susan L (Kaiser) Seigel

Susan L. Seigel, 73, of Peterborough passed away peacefully on September 11, 2017 at Summerhill Assisted Living with her family by her side. Susan was born in Newark, NJ on January 15, 1944 the daughter of Jack Kaiser and Mildred (Bornstein) Kaiser.

Susan was raised in Newark and attended Weequahic High School.   She went on to attend college, earning her BA in education, at Trenton State College in New Jersey.    Susan spent the next several decades committed to education.  She taught elementary school for several years before transitioning to teaching French and Spanish language labs at ConVal High School.

Susan served on countless non-profit boards over the years and she helped organize and run the ConVal Ice Hockey team.   Above all, Susan was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband of more than 50 years, Dr. Charles Seigel of Peterborough, she is survived by her sons, Gregory Seigel and his wife K.C. of Norristown, PA and Brian Seigel and his wife Lauren of Downingtown, PA.    She also leaves her four loving grandchildren: Troy, Sydney, Charlotte and Owen.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Friday September 22, 2017 at 11:00am at Pine Hill Cemetery, Peterborough, NH.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Susan’s name to The NH Alzheimer’s Association, 166 S. River Road #210, Bedford, NH 03110.
