Terrie Whiteley

Terrie Whiteley 63, of Bennington succumbed to cancer on February 1, 2024, after a recent diagnosis. She passed peacefully surrounded by family at Monadnock Community Hospital.

Born to William and Frances (Young) Hornacek in Stafford Springs, CT on October 31, 1960, she was a proud Halloween baby and never afraid to mention it.
Terrie grew up in Stafford Springs CT, where she married her high school sweetheart Guy Whiteley, they had three children, Jeramey, Aben and Melissa "Missy".  Shortly after they relocated to the Bennington, NH area.

Terrie loved spending time with family. In addition, she was an advocate for and loved all animals, including the many she had throughout her life, especially her beloved "Miss Socks ". She was also a volunteer at Monadnock Kitty Rescue and Adoption.

She is survived by her husband Guy Whiteley and their cat Sioux, her son Aben Whiteley, daughter Missy Whiteley and her fiancé Mike Bourgeois, her mother Frances "Pat" Hornacek, sister Karen Bull and her daughter Danielle Martorelli, brother Bill and his wife Dee Hornacek, as well as two grandchildren and many other family members.

There are no services planned. Details for a celebration of life will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made in Terrie's name to Monadnock Kitty Rescue and Adoption in Jaffrey NH.
