Thomas Fairfield

Thomas Alan Fairfield, age 78 of Greenfield, passed away peacefully at Concord Hospital on May 16, 2023 after a brief illness.  He was born in Peterborough on July 15, 1944, the son of Alton and Mabel (Sweeney) Fairfield.

He graduated from Peterborough High School in 1962.  After high school he served in the US Army.  After the Army he spent many years as a truck driver, delivering bulk grain to farms around New England.  He was an avid softball player, golfer, and enjoyed playing horseshoes.

Tom was loved by many and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed bantering with a touch a of sass.

Tom is survived by his wife Joanne, brother Wilfred Parenteau Jr and wife Linda, stepson Joseph Hoyt and wife Darragh, stepdaughter Sherry Flint, granddaughters Stephanie, Kerrah, Heidi, Kylee and grandson Nate and great grandchildren Joseph and Madeline, nephew Thomas Sweeney and wife Lisa and many nieces and nephews

A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 11:00AM at Hillside Cemetery, Route 137, Hancock, NH.  A gathering will be held immediately after at the Greenfield Meeting House, 776 Forest Road, Greenfield, NH.
