Virginia Uecker

Peterborough, NH Virginia L. Uecker, 95, of Peterborough, died June 30, 2016 after a period of failing health. Virginia "Ginny" was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 8, 1920 the daughter of Kenneth W. Miller and Elizabeth F. (Griffith) Miller. Ginny was married to the love and joy of her life, Norman Uecker for 58 years until his passing. She attended business school and worked many years until retiring in Peterborough. She traveled and lived in multiple states throughout her life. Ginny bore three children, Diane, Bruce and Lynne. Ginny was very active in many organizations including the Historical Society and Women's Cub. She enjoyed rug hooking, painting, quilting and cooking. She had some of her recipes published in cookbooks. She was a member of the Peterborough Unitarian Church and loved baking and bringing her creations to the church every week until her 94th year. She was very much loved and cherished by her surviving daughter Lynne, two granddaughters, Erica and Rebecca, son-in-law Glen and her three great grandchildren, Celia, Aidan and Owen. She will be missed greatly by her friends and family. A memorial will be held at a later date at Rivermead Lifecare Community where she resided for the past ten years.
