William "Bill" J. Ferry, 72, died unexpectedly at his home on December 10, 2016. Bill was born on March, 14, 1944 in Lexington, MA the son of Edward Ferry and Mary L. (McDonald) Ferry.
Bill grew up and attended schools in Massachusetts. As a young adult, he moved to the Monadnock area where he raised his family. A proud ironworker, he worked for East Coast Steel (now American Steel) for many years. Bill was a very talented mason and enjoyed being creative with this craft as well as leather working and painting. He was a kind, generous soul, helping others any way that he could. His family was important to him and he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Bill is survived by his sister Jeanne Magoon of Claremont and his brother Francis Ferry of Belchertown, MA., his son Curtis Ferry of Greenfield, his daughter Amy Hardwick of Bennington and their mother Faith Lloyd of Greenfield, his daughter Heather Dunlap of Newport, his son Joshua Dunlap of Hinsdale, and their mother Wendy Dunlap of Newport. He will also be missed by his grandchildren; Heidi, David Jr, Marilyn, Luke, Jeremiah, Julie, Hannah and his great grandson, Ivan.
Bill is predeceased by his daughter Julie Blanchette, his grandson Daniel Fluhr, his sister Barbara Shirley and his brothers Edward and John Ferry.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM at The Greenfield Ministry Center, 12 Depot Street, Greenfield, NH. Reception to follow.
