Antrim, NH William (Bill) Richard Harris, 70, of Antrim NH, died peacefully on March 24, 2015 surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport, CT on October 5, 1944, he was the son of William Bernard Harris and Ruth Margaret (Collins) Harris. Bill was raised in Stratford, CT and attended local schools. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, stationed at USNAS, Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, Washington. He received a commendation for his performance of duty in the earthquake relief mission at the Naval Air Station, Kodiak, Alaska. Later, he completed his education at Norwalk State Technical College, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialty in metallurgy. After marrying his wife Marci in 1971, they lived in CT before moving to Antrim NH where they have resided for the past 36 years, raising their family. As an automotive service manager, Bill worked for several dealerships throughout New Hampshire, before retiring from Subaru of Nashua. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and wood working. He spent countless hours in his shop making fishing rods and crafting furniture. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife Marcianne (Falk) Harris, and their three sons; William Harris and his wife Patricia, James Harris and his wife Kristie, and Kevin Harris and his wife Natasha, all of Antrim. He will also be sadly missed by his eight grandchildren; Jack, Kendall, Colby, Jimmy, Caleb, Elizabeth, Collins and Cassidy; as well as his sisters Eileen Smith of Stratford, CT, Mary Beth Wickun of Stratford, CT and his brother Paul Harris of Ansonia, CT; their families, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date and will be private for the family.
