Christine Mackensen

Christine Jean (Bakunas) Mackensen, 51, of Temple, NH, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023.

A native of Nashua, Christine was born in May of 1972, to Alfred and Gloria (Johnston) Bakunas. She graduated from Nashua High School, class of 1991. Christine earned an associate degree in early childhood education from Nashua Community College. Christine was a paraprofessional within the Contoocook Valley School District, specializing in helping students achieve personal success in all areas and subjects.

By far, her favorite pastime was attending and supporting her children’s endeavors: dance, soccer (rain or shine), and theatre.

With endless giving of life, love, friendship, family and education, Christine is survived by her husband, Christoper, two daughters Adeline and Chloe, and her brother Raymond of Pepperell, MA. She will be profoundly missed by her parents-in-law, Warren and Patricia of Hampton, NH.

Calling hours will be held on Friday September 15th, from 5 to 8PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 12 Church Street, Peterborough, NH, on Saturday September 16th, 2023, at 11AM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Miller Cemetery, Temple NH.
