Colleen (Charlonne) Hardy

Colleen (Charlonne) Hardy, 69, of Peterborough, died suddenly at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough on November 7, 2013. She was born in Peterborough on December 14, 1943, the daughter of Homer Charlonne and Pauline (Cote) Charlonne.

Colleen grew up in Jaffrey and was one of 13 children. She moved to Fitchburg, MA for 10 years and spent many years traveling around the country as a military family. Colleen settled in Peterborough more than 26 years ago. She worked at Millipore in Jaffrey for many years.Colleen enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee with her neighbors and spending time with friends. She spent time every day with her family's dog, Logan, and looked forward to seeing him and taking care of him each day. Colleen deeply loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they were pride and joy.

Colleen is survived by her daughter Debra Bourgoine of Peterborough, her son Fred Hardy, Jr. of Swanzey, her siblings Gerald Charlonne of Jaffrey, Francis Charlonne of Winchendon, Vernon Charlonne of Jaffrey, Mary Lewis of Brattleboro, VT, Carol Hazelton of Brattleboro, VT, Marcia Charlonne of Brattleboro, VT, and Janice Hurd of Gardner, MA. She will also be missed by her four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Bourgoine and Tiffany and Katie Hardy, and her great-grandchildren Nicholas Cedano and Eliot Wood.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, November 10th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 11th at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Cemetery, High Street, Peterborough, NH.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions can be made in Colleen's memory to American Lung Association in Manchester, NH or Peterborough Fire and Rescue, 16 Summer Street, Peterborough, NH 03458.
